Flashback Art Fair

2024 equilibrium?

The latest edition, held inside Pavilion B from 31 October to 3 November 2024, questioned the profound meaning of balance, a state of calm that emerges from the balance of forces. A concept that crosses numerous fields – from science to economics, from politics to biology, up to the social and psychological sphere. And inevitably also art. But is the achievement of such balance really synonymous with justice and fairness? In an era in which balance is sometimes invoked and other times questioned, this twelfth edition does not aim to provide answers, but to raise questions. Through works of art, performances, talks, workshops and music, the countless facets of a theme that profoundly affects the human condition and life in all its forms were explored. The guest galleries of Flashback Art Fair 2024 declined the theme with a wide and varied proposal, which led visitors on an emotional journey through the corridors of Flashback Habitat.
The audience, like a tightrope walker, moved between the rooms, pulled now by one end of the rope, now by the other, wondering if they will ever reach the synthesis, the balance, and if this is sensible, right, ethical.
